Join the Honors Leadership Council's Civic Service committee for an important discussion about water legislation strategy at the state capitol! The event is Tuesday, March 4th starting at 8am.
About Capitol Conservation Day
The Georgia Water Coalition holds this event at the Georgia State Capitol each year. We gather for a continental breakfast, orientation, and issue briefings at the Central Presbyterian Church. Then we walk across the street to the Capitol for a group photograph and to meet with legislators about timely water legislation. You can read more on the GA Water Coalition's website: https://www.gawater.org/capitol-conservation-day-details
Additionally, the Honors Program will be offering MARTA passes to the first 15 students for transportation to and from the event! The Georgia State train stop is only one block away from the Central Presbyterian Church, where the event begins, as well as the state capitol building. Getting there is easy from either the Midtown or North Ave stations. Directions via MARTA train: https://maps.app.goo.gl/bgkcJhg4auTee6fm8 (Google Maps)
Please RSVP below via Suitable in order to show interest in attending! An HP staff member will be in touch with more information about how to pick up your ticket and MARTA pass, as well as how to prepare for the event.
